2009 World Championship Rattlesnake Races

The 2009 World Championship Rattlesnake Races and St. Patrick's Day Celebration returns to Historic Old San Patricio, Texas, from March 21st - 22nd.  Come enjoy lots of fun, including live music, arts & crafts, great food & fried rattlesnake, free arena games, and of course, rattlesnake races.

The Rattlesnake races begin at 1:00 p.m., and contestants not wishing to bring their own rattler will be furnished one.  Snake races cost $20 to enter.  Winners of each heat will be awarded a plaque.  World Champion in the finals (Sunday) will take the trophy.

Games and Contests for all ages with prizes for winners of each event.  Games include egg-catching, Human wheelbarrow races, Men & Women's boot race, and more.

Gates are open each day from 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 pm.  Daily admission is $5.00 and children under 6 are free.
