Come on Downtown for the First Friday ArtWalk on July 1st between 5:30 - 9:00 p.m. and join us for art, music, entertainment, refreshments and lots more.

Schedule for the weekend is :

• Friday, July 6th from 5:30 to 9:30 pm - ArtWalk
• Saturday, July 7th from 9 am to 4 pm - Marina Market Days
• Saturday, July 8th from noon till late - MusicWalk
• Sunday, July 9th at 8:30 am - Bridgewalk & Fitness Sunday

The program of Public Art Tours, similar to those conducted during Festival of the Arts, will run again. Please call 361-883-ARTS for more info and to book a seat on one of the two morning tram tours any ArtWalk morning.

ARTWALK UPDATE:

During ArtWalk evening be sure to hop on the RTA "ArtWalk Express" (RTA Route #79 which will run as a free service between 5:30 & 9:00pm) and visit the museums in S.E.A. Town which offer free entry to ArtWalkers on ArtWalk night. The Art Museum, the Asian Cultures Museum, and the Science & History Museum are all open free to ArtWalkers.

Saturday, at Marina Market Days, the new Saturday "MusicWalk" once again kicks off from noon until 4 p.m. with "Willford," a collaboration of Jimmy Willden and Steven Alford followed by Expression Gallerys' new summer music series in La Retama Park from noon til 6 p.m. and music throughout Downtown at various venues all Saturday evening.

PARKING:
As ArtWalk grows more successful so the process of parking Downtown becomes more of an issue. Laz Parking have agreed to offer a $2 rate on ArtWalk night (also $2 all day Saturday during Marina Market Days) at their 400 block Water Street site next to AKA Sushi.

La Retama

La Retama Park is the focal point of ArtWalk. This is where you can obtain free information and maps. It is also where the tram and RTA Express connect and where the prize draw takes place.

• Music in the park will be provided by "David Martinez" from 5:30 until 8:30 pm
• Food vendor Callie's Cajun will once again return to the park.
• There will be a selection of arts and crafts (not resale) vendors open from 5:30 pm until 9 pm including a food vendor and Uncertain Farms (from Marina Market Days) will be in the park with a selection of jams, fruit & vegetables for sale.
• Maps and flyers are available from the DMD booth, ArtWalk volunteers (wearing orange T-shirts), ArtWalk Ambassadors wearing orange polo shirts, Parking Control Officers on their electric carts, and on the RTA ArtWalk Express. The DTown Tram will also have a supply of maps and an on board Ambassador and of course, HOBO will be there providing their usual brand of Honkadelic entertainment.
• The Prize Draw will take place at 8:45pm and prizes can be viewed by clicking HERE.
