If you live in the Coastal Bend AND want to promote local filmmaking programs OR are a local filmmaker OR have ever wanted to make a film, then don't miss this great opportunity. The Austin Film Society's Director of Artist Services Bryan Poyser will present a free informational workshop about AFS's Texas Filmmakers' Production Fund, which annually offers grants of up to $15,000 to Texas filmmakers, on Sunday, May 17th. He will take participants through the application form step-by-step and screen work samples from successful applications.

The Third Annual Islander Film Festival will be held on Saturday, May 2nd, at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (Bay Hall 103) at 7:00 p.m. The Islander Film Festival is a compilation of Coastal Bend filmmakers’ work as they come together to showcase their films, share their stories and compete to be the best.
