"Buckin' for Boobs" - a benefit for the American Cancer Society - will be held on Saturday, Oct. 1st from 7 p.m. - 10 pm. at the Richard M. Borchard Regional Fairgrounds in Robstown, Texas. Join us to witness some of the best names in the business ride for a cure as Big Slick Productions and Do or Die Pro Rodeo, along with Krazy K Bucking Bulls, host an action packed event. The genesis for this event began in July of 2010 when Dawn Heald, CEO of Big Slick Productions, wanted to use the connections of her industry, as well as the love for one of the toughest sports on earth, to give back to a more than deserving cause. What better way to do so than putting together a Bull Riding Event/Concert to raise awareness for Breast Cancer with proceeds going to benefit the American Cancer Society? With that simple idea and a lot of hard work, come Oct. 1st the FIRST Buckin' for Boobs will be a reality! "I want the community to be able to come together with their family and friends to have a great time, enjoy the show and keep in mind that it is all for a good cause," says Dawn. "I feel like, by bringing in an action packed event along with top notch entertainment, this fundraiser will get bigger and better every year; the sky is the limit at this point!" This is a family friendly event, so bring everyone out to enjoy the food, fun and festivities. As if that wasn't enough, there will be Vendors like Prints Charming, Queen of Bling and Billy Bob's Western Wear set up for those of you who would like to get a little shopping done, and that is just to name a few. The after party will be held at the High Chaparral Dance Hall (1961 N US HWY 77 Robstown, TX) (361) 387-1957 from 10 p.m. - 2 a.m., where you will enjoy the musical talents of rising Texas Country Music Star Johnny Kiser! Adults: $12 presale and $15 at the gate Rodeo tickets can be purchased at Billy Bob's Western Wear or Cavendar's Boot City. Keep in mind that your ticket stub from the Rodeo will get you in the after party concert FREE! Without that ticket, it is $15 at the door. Dawn continued, "Sponsorship opportunities are still available, and we are hoping for a very triumphant event that will leave us with a nice big check for the American Cancer Society. Let's all make Nueces County Proud!" For more on this event check out:
