Pro basketball is coming to Corpus Christi in January 2013! Steve Haney, former counsel for NBA Hall of Famers Magic Johnson and Dominique Wilkins, will bring the Corpus Christi Clutch to our city as part of the new league. Auditions for the Corpus Christi "Clutch Time" dancers will be held Nov. 17th at Flex Fit Gym in Corpus Christi, Texas, at 2 p.m.

Corpus Christi runners are prepping to be hit with a tsunami of color on February 2, 2013, as they take on the Color Me Rad 5K hosted by the Ronald McDonald House of Corpus Christi. As white-clad participants wind through Whataburger Field, they'll be bombarded with color throughout the course until they cross the finish line looking like silkscreened tie-dyed hippies. Finishers, coated from head to toe in blue, green, pink, purple and yellow, will then toss individual bags of color in the air every fifteen minutes to create a final explosion of color in celebration of their accomplishment.

Ryan Garbutt, former IceRay and now forward for the Dallas Stars, will return to Corpus Christi this Saturday night and Sunday afternoon for Best-Of-The-Best weekend presented by The Caller Times. Also returning for the weekend are Jody Praznik and Mike Tomlinson. Taking place of an alumni game, past members of the IceRays will start to be honored throughout the season as a part of the 15th year anniversary of hockey.

The Corpus Christi IceRays will look to rebound this weekend as they play host to the Wichita Falls Wildcats on Friday and Saturday night, Oct. 12 - 13. Last weekend, against the Tornado, Corpus Christi let in numerous bad angle goals which proved to haunt them in the end, falling in both games to Texas over the weekend.
