The 4th Annual Surf-N-Turf Race will be held on Saturday, Jan. 28th at Padre Island Baptist Church.  Quickly becoming an island tradition, this year's race will feature a Half Marathon, 10K and 5K Run and a 5K Walk.  Our race event continues to be an excellent opportunity to bridge the island community to the city of Corpus Christi and beyond.

While our race promotes fitness and brings our community together, its main focus is to raise funds for our PIBC mission programs.  Each year, our Student Ministry reaches out to national and international communitites through various mission projects.  In addition to out of state projects, our students help with a number of service opportunities in our own community, including serving meals at Church Without Walls in Flour Bluff.  With each mission opportunity, our students' lives are transformed by reaching out and serving others.

Last year's race:

• Brought 450 racers to the island from all over our state.
• Raised $8000 for our mission programs.
• Sent 60 students and adults to New Mexico and the Dominican Republic.

Your cash contribution to our race helps offset the costs incurred in holding such a large event.  This allows each racer's registration fee to go directly to our mission programs.  Any amount you are able to give would be a blessing.
