The Ryan Sanders Baseball School, presented by Mrs Baird's, is holding a spring break camp March 12-14 at Whataburger Field. Camp begins at 9 a.m. each morning and runs until noon. Instruction in catching, fielding, baserunning, hitting and pitching is geared for those ages 5-12. Cost is $130 for individual campers. Book a group of five or more and pay $115 per camper.

On February 4th, En Ritmo Dance Fitness will register participants at their studio for a fitness competition called the En Shape Weight Loss Challenge. It is a contest open to the public and offers money, prizes and free memberships. An outdoor Zumba Fitness Master class will also take place from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. to kick off the event.

The 4th Annual Surf-N-Turf Race will be held on Saturday, Jan. 28th at Padre Island Baptist Church. Quickly becoming an island tradition, this year's race will feature a Half Marathon, 10K and 5K Run and a 5K Walk. Our race event continues to be an excellent opportunity to bridge the island community to the city of Corpus Christi and beyond.

On Saturday night, February 18, Boxing stars Chris "The Nightmare" Arreola, Paul "The Punisher" Williams and Tavoris "Thunder" Cloud will bring their aggressive, knockout power and crowd-pleasing all-out action style to the great fans and city of Corpus Christi. The world-wide televised Showtime tripleheader will emanate from the American Bank Center Arena in an event presented by Goossen Tutor Promotions in association with Golden Boy Promotions and Canelo Promotions. The Cloud bout will be promoted by Don King Productions.
