On June 30, 2012, the entire Coastal Bend is invited to COME PLAY AT THE PARK as sports, leisure, arts and culture collide on the Bayfront. Bring the entire family along with your bikes, frisbees, kites, and adventurous spirit as the entire city celebrates one of the most beautiful locations in the world.
 On site that day will be:
- A Dog Park (dogs outside the dog park area must be on leashes)
- Free Fitness Classes (Zumba, Yoga, Boot Camp and more; come ready to sweat!)
- Segway Rentals provided by Seg City Corpus Christi
- Musicians
- Corpus Christi Volleyball Club volleyball tournament on McGee Beach
- Outdoor Chess provided by South Texas Chess Center
- Kiteboarding
- Jet Skis

- Kites
- Frisbees
- Art Exhibits provided by The Art Center of Corpus Christi
- Food and Drink Vendors
