CEO presents the 2012 "No Excuses!" BBQ Challenge and Music Festival on March 16 - 17 at the Gulf Coast Racing Track.  Come enjoy the best BBQ in Texas as teams compete for the official IBCA State Championship.  Families can also enjoy great music and activities for everyone, including the first ever Miss No Excuses Scholarship Pageant, which will benefit STARS.

The "No Excuses!" BBQ Challenge and Music Festival is an official International Barbecue Cooker's Association-Texas State Championship Cook-off.  Cookers from all over Texas enter the competition in hopes of winning the coveted "No Excuses!" Grand Champion Title.  The title not only gives the BBQ Team credibility and bragging rights, but it automatically qualifies them to enter the International Jack Daniels BBQ Invitational in Tennessee.

"No Excuses!" BBQ Championship is coordinated with a 2-day Music Festival, which attracted 15,000 people in 2011 from Corpus Christi, surrounding counties and even from cities like Austin, San Antonio, Laredo, Houston and The Valley.  Other attractions will include vendors, crafts, horseshoe competition, hot-wing contest, chili cook-off, business mixer, Kids' Korner, People's Choice BBQ tasting and a new Miss No Excuses Texas Festival competition.

This year, CEO has partnered with the STARS of South Texas scholarship program.  Proceeds will benefit this program and the Miss No Excuses Texas Festival Scholarship Program.

MISS NO EXCUSES SPOKESMODEL COMPETITION

Ladies 18+ are encouraged to compete in the inauguraL Miss No Excuses Spokesmodel competition.  The grand prize will include:

• $1500 scholarship to TAMUCC or Del Mar College
• Weekend in S. Padre Island
• $500 Shopping Spree
• Featured in 2012 No Excuses poster and up to 4 promotional appearances of the course of the year

The top finalists will also enjoy a variety of prizes.  Successful applicants will begin the competition with fan voting from Feb. 20 - March 10. Contestants will also be judged on an interview with judges prior to the final stage competition on March 16 & 17.
