The GoIslanders.com Athletes of the Week winner this week is senior Emma Ridley from the volleyball team. Ridley had 30 kills on the week, including a match high 18 as she led the Islanders to a 3-2 win over Lamar. She also added five assists, one service ace and one block assist.

Texas A&M-Corpus Christi women's golf team returns to the links for the inaugural Dale McNamara Invitational. The Islanders will face their strongest competition of the fall at the Patriot Golf Club in Owasso, Okla. when first round play begins on Monday.

The GoIslanders.com Athletes of the Week winners are the Islanders men's tennis doubles team of seniors Laurent Montoisy and James Langford. The doubles team won the Blue Draw of the 2010 Rice Fall Invite, beating teams from Rice, LSU and Texas to claim the tournament championship.
