Save A Breast Fest - House Of Rock ( 6:00 pm )
House of Rock is proud to host ‘Save a Breast Fest’ on Friday May 18, 2012!
‘Save a Breast Fest’ is a collaboration of live music and fun to raise money and awareness for breast cancer and the Keep a Breast Foundation. The Keep a Breast Foundation is a non-profit organization that works to bring breast cancer awareness specifically to a younger demographic. Events such as ‘Save a Breast Fest’ utilize music and other activities to educate young adults on the importance of their health and wellbeing.
The bands performing at ‘Save A Breast Fest’ include Shattered Sun, Design the Skyline, Untitled We Stand, Oh! The Irony, Bad Chords and Ready the Messenger. Tickets are $8 pre-sale and $10 at the door.

Family Art Time - Art Center Of CC ( 10:00 am )
Bring the family, walk the bay front, and visit your local Art Center to participate in “Family Art Time.” This free, ongoing series of art activities geared towards families will take place each Saturday at the Art Center of Corpus Christi from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., starting April 2nd. “Family Art Time” is graciously sponsored by the Coastal Bend Community Foundation, as part of their 30th Anniversary Celebration. Art projects will be creative, hands on, and of a take home nature that all family members can enjoy. Art Center instructors will facilitate activities, which will change weekly and provide a variety of art experiences in painting, drawing, clay and crafts such as basketry, beading, print making, collage and more. Special projects will incorporate various cultures and traditions, based around holidays and seasons of the year. Projects will be structured so participants can come and go throughout the day and participate in other Art Center activities. These include regular classes, viewing exhibitions of local artwork, purchasing handcrafted goods at the 2nd Saturday Art Market, and dining at Desiree’s by the Bay. “Family Art Time” fulfills the Art Center’s mission to be a central “hub” of creative expression, bringing the arts to all segments of the community.

Rock Paper Scissors Tournament - House Of Rock ( 9:00 pm )
House of Rock is excited to host Rock Paper Scissors Tournament Wednesday, May 23, 2012!
The Rock Paper Scissors Tournament is a fun, no equipment necessary, easy to play competition. Contestants will face off in pairs, attempting to eliminate their opponents one by one. The tournament is open to anyone 21 years of age or older. Participants are encouraged to dress up and bring their best, creative nicknames for game time.

No pre-registration is required and it is FREE to enter. The Crush Girls will be on-site the evening of the tournament to sign up potential contestants. Sign up starts at 9:00 p.m. and the tournament will begin at 10:00 p.m. Special guest host and deejay will be Johnny Hotcakes.
The tournament will be overseen by select judges and specific rules and regulations will apply. The winner will receive one year’s worth of concert tickets to House of Rock, excluding fundraisers and reserved seats. Only one will win.

We’re excited to announce the Koffin Kats will be performing at The Venue at House of Rock on Friday, May 25, 2012.
Based out of Detroit, Michigan, the Koffin Kats are a trio with a rockabilly and psychobilly sound with comparisons to the Misfits. They formed in 2003 and by 2004 had released their first album ‘Koffin Kats’ and immediately began touring. They have since released 5 albums as well as their latest album ‘Our Way & The Highway’ which was released January 2012.
Koffin Kats have toured with some of the best psychobilly acts, such as Mad Sins, Nekromantix, and The Meteors. Joining them on stage at House of Rock will be Evil Come Evil Go, Hasta La Tierra, Obliterates, Party Boys and Ick Vulnic.
