  As summer continues to swelter towards its end and the community’s youth see the end of summer vacation by heading back to school, Corpus Christi Creative Connections ’September's ART in the PARK will focus on an End of Summer Vacation theme with its make and take art projects for those 12 and under. Children will create a festive Hawaiian Lei, design their own limited edition print and createnative Maori Art from the island of New Zealand, all reminiscent of a grand summer vacation. "Coming Home” a galle ry exhibit of Photography Art by Devin J. Colley will open on Aug 31.
Art vendors will be onsite offering their hand made art in various types of visual art, jewelry, etc. for sale. Live musical entertainment will be presented by guitarist Leo Mariani, who will be making his ART in the PARK debut from 10am – 11am and performing traditional acoustic Blues. Spark in the Dark, the Rock/Contemporary Christian/Classic Rock band of Leila and Steven Phillips, will be performing from 1pm – 3pm with their created tunes and many other genres of live musical entertainment. So pack a picnic lunch, bring a lawn chair and come out to Corpus Christi’s S.E.A.District and enjoy your End of Summer Vacation at ART in the PARK.
