If you save recyclable glass, the City of Corpus Christi is ready to collect the items.  The event is set for Saturday, August 11, 2012, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Wal-Mart located on U.S. Highway 77 in Calallen.

Volunteers will collect separated, clear and colored glass.  Only clean glass containers will be accepted and labels are allowed.

The next glass recycling event is scheduled for Saturday, October 13, 2012, at 9:00 a.m., at the Padre Isles Property Owners Association, 14015 Fortuna Bay Drive.

Volunteers are always needed.  Community service or civic service hours are available.
